In the organisation\u2019s 10th anniversary strategic planning it was agreed that we had indeed made this happen, and while our fundamental foundation would always be to be a voice for those affected by cancer, the Board elected to adopt a more long-term vision of:<\/p><p><em>A South Africa where people affected by cancer receive fair, appropriate, timeous and respectful treatment and care.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a2d4a77 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a2d4a77\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Mission<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-13c530d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"13c530d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>We will achieve this vision by working to:<\/p><p>Ensure that the patients\u2019 rights are protected by\u2026<\/p><ul><li>Ensuring dialogues amongst role-players;<\/li><li>Facilitating solutions with regard to cancer prevention and treatment;<\/li><li>Representing patients with regard to:<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Legislation<\/li><li>Healthcare costs<\/li><li>Healthcare delivery<\/li><li>Understanding the cancer landscape<\/li><\/ul><p>in a manner that ensures that all stakeholder positions are considered.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vision and Mission Vision Campaigning for Cancer was established in 2008 with a vision of being a strong, sympathetic and responsible voice for people affected by cancer.
